Terms of Service for DeWolfVie Bot

Welcome to DeWolfVie, a Discord bot designed to bring the Werewolf game experience to your server! By inviting or using DeWolfVie ("the Bot"), you agree to abide by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding the Bot to your Discord server or interacting with it, you ("User" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Bot.

2. Description of Service

DeWolfVie is a Discord bot that facilitates a Werewolf game within Discord servers. It manages game states, assigns roles (e.g., Villager, Werewolf, Seer), handles player interactions via text and voice channels, and maintains a leaderboard. The Bot uses commands (e.g., !start_game, !end_game) to operate and may create temporary channels (e.g., "wolf-chat", "dead-chat") during gameplay.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Bot, in compliance with Discord’s Terms of Service.

• You must have the authority to add the Bot to a server if you are inviting it.

4. User Conduct

To ensure a fun and fair experience, you agree:

• Not to use the Bot for illegal purposes or to violate Discord’s Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.

• Not to abuse, exploit, or hack the Bot, including attempting to bypass its mechanics or disrupt gameplay.

• Not to harass or harm other users through the Bot’s features.

• To follow any server-specific rules set by administrators where the Bot is active.

5. Intellectual Property

• The Bot, its code, design, and content (e.g., GIFs, role icons) are the intellectual property of the Bot’s developers unless otherwise credited.

• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the Bot without explicit permission from the developers.

6. Limitation of Liability

• The Bot is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

• The developers are not liable for any damages, including but not limited to loss of data, server disruptions, or emotional distress, arising from the use of the Bot.

• The Bot may occasionally experience downtime or errors; the developers are not responsible for interruptions in service.

7. Modifications to the Bot or Terms

• The developers reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue the Bot or these Terms at any time without prior notice.

• Continued use of the Bot after changes to the Terms constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

8. Termination

• The developers may suspend or terminate the Bot’s access to any user or server at their discretion, without notice, for violations of these Terms or behavior deemed harmful to the Bot or its community.

• You may remove the Bot from your server at any time, effectively terminating its services for your server.

9. Third-Party Services

• The Bot integrates with Discord and Google Sheets (for leaderboard storage). Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies, over which the developers have no control.
